It’s been a long time coming but I’ve finally got round to putting together a dedicated collection of my most popular venue illustration invitation designs (sorry, that’s a mouthful!).
For a while now, I’ve really wanted to add more options for couples wanting to include a venue illustration on their invitations, as up until recently I’ve only had two official semi-custom designs where they can do this.
So why add a venue illustration to your wedding stationery?
Your venue is the most important thing you’ll book for your wedding. Whether it be a château in the south of France or a beautiful barn in the English countryside, your venue will set the tone for your entire day. Your venue will also become a part of family history and a huge part of your love story.
Your save the dates or invitations are the very first glimpse your guests get of your wedding day. Including an illustration of your venue helps to set the scene for the day and builds excitement by giving your loved ones the ultimate sneak peek. They also make wonderful keepsakes, so make sure to order some spares!
Like those in my House Collection, my new designs have an understated and romantic feel, with a mix of elegant fonts.
The venues I’ve chosen to feature in these examples are some of my all time favourites, but all of the designs can be customised to feature your own wedding venue, with a choice of watercolour or pen and ink drawing. All of the illustrations are created in house by me, starting life on paper before being scanned in and edited digitally.
AGRECO FARM INVITATIONS
Known for its iconic pastel pink chapel, the beautiful Agreco Farm is a traditional Greek wedding venue, popular for local and destination weddings alike. Located on the outskirts of Rethymnon on the idyllic island of Crete, this venue is not only set in a dream location but is a working farm too, so has wonderful fresh produce to offer and delicious food (so it’s a win-win).
This illustration showcases the pretty pink chapel, with a subtle nod to the surrounding olive groves, all captured in soft watercolour.
