Summer is nearly upon us and we've still not had much nice weather in the UK this year. So I thought I'd share some destination wedding inspiration in stunning Santorini while we wait for things to warm up a bit.
The volcanic island of Santorini is one of the jewels of the Aegean Sea. Famous for its whitewashed houses nestled among dramatic cliffs, overlooking the brilliant blue sea, it's no wonder that the island is so popular for weddings and engagements.
This shoot was planned by the talented Natalie Stevenson Photography, who was inspired by the golden hues of the romantic Santorini sunsets.
The venue was San Antonio Suites in Imerovigli, a luxury hotel with the most breathtaking views across the ocean. It formed the perfect backdrop for our inspirational shoot.
Natalie reached out to local florist Wedding Wish for the florals and all of the styling. The dreamy colour palette of white, nude, gold and yellow was incorporated beautifully into the florals, with just a few hints of greenery coming through. This contrasted perfectly with the stunning blues of the sky and sea.
The styling for the sweetheart table was modern and elegant with an ethereal feel to it – the perfect inspiration for anyone planning a romantic elopement or more intimate destination wedding. The calligraphy place cards were handwritten delicately in gold calligraphy on handmade paper with a golden watercolour wash.
The gorgeous single-tier cake was created by luxury designer Erzulie Cakes. A pristine white creation with flecks of gold and adorned with intricate handmade sugar flowers.
Inspired by the white and blue of the traditional Greek houses, the stationery design was very classic and elegant, featuring calligraphy and an olive wreath monogram. The invitation suite was finished with hand deckled edges and styled with vibrant yellow ribbon to add to the ethereal, fine art feel.
The models were a real life couple and you can definitely see the love and chemistry shining through in the photos.
Storme Makeup & Hair created a few different bridal looks with flawless natural makeup and elegant hair styles which were finished with delicate accessories by Rachel Sokhal Bridal.
The beautiful gowns were provided by Morgan Davies Bridal, with a few styles to fit the different settings throughout the shoot. The dresses were paired with elegant shoes by Bella Belle (provided by Rachel Ash Bridalwear).
